Summary : Supports the Mission, Philosophies and Goals of the Agency Provides services and supports to individuals in a variety of settings, by completing the following duties.
Education / Experience / Licenses : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; to perform this job successfully, an individual should exhibit a high degree of patience, empathy and professionalism in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Must be able to communicate clearly, including : reading, writing and speaking. Must have a working knowledge of word processing programs, email programs and a willingness to learn other computer programs with training.
Must be able to work flexible schedules including variable shifts. If qualified, must be able to drive large passenger vans in a variety of traffic conditions.
If qualified, must have valid drivers license and proof of current liability insurance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for both Day and Residential Shifts :
Completes all required documentation by the end of assigned shift.
Physical Demands / Work Environment : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move a minimum of 50 pounds; push wheelchairs and provide stability support to people while walking.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
